Arbeitsgebiet

Das Institut für Telematik beschäftigt sich mit Protokollen, Algorithmen und Anwendungen für die Kommunikation in Netzwerken und verteilten Systemen. Besondere Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen auf der Unterstützung moderner Strukturen wie drahtlosen und Sensornetzwerken im Umfeld des Mobile bzw. Pervasive Computing sowie Middlewarekonzepten rund um die Themen Web Services und Grid Computing. Besonderes Interesse im Bereich der Anwendungen gilt dem Einsatz von Sensornetzen im Katastrophenschutz, der Verkehrsüberwachung und -steuerung sowie im Gesundheitswesen (eHealth).
